Password Reuse Time

This setting prevents users from reusing a password for a set period of time. This is often more powerful than defining a "history size," which prevents users from reusing passwords for a set number of password resets. Password reuse time is set through a "history expire" setting. This prevents users from quickly reusing old passwords after their passwords expire. This prevents unauthorized users from using stolen passwords indefinitely and also thwarts some brute force attacks.
